It’s not easy to make a bold decision. That’s especially true if we know that other people in our lives don't approve of the decision. People will often put subtle pressure on us—or not-so-subtle pressure—to encourage us to stick with the status quo. Ten years ago, Amy Knott Parrish decided to be sober. She saw what alcohol was doing to her life. She knew that being sober was the best choice for herself and her family. That didn’t make it an easy decision.
