Tibet's cultural engagement with India stretches back to the ancient past. If it was not for them, we'd be unlettered, uncouth barbarians terrorizing the plains of Central Asia (though Chogyal Namkha'i Norbu would vehemently dispute this extravagant claim.) This trans-Himalayan tryst lasts to this day but instead of Buddhism, we now have Bollywood without which Tibetan weddings would be even duller affairs.
