COLOR SPEAK, Season 5, Ep 38: COLOR for CANVAS BOOK LAUNCH w Publisher Missy Maxwell Worton & Author Carolyn Searcy
Nov 13, 2025·—
—
My publishing friends join me today to talk about a book that is near and dear to my heart. My own! But wait a minute. I wrote it for you. Overall, it is speculative fiction, the goal of which is to get people thinking about the world around them. The story takes place over many generations on land that is significant. It is land awaiting its purpose, long recognized in the material and spiritual worlds as dedicated to the purpose of God. I am convinced we each have our own version of our Promised Land, whether that is proverbial or literal. Coming into agreement with that is significant for building the Kingdom of God here on earth. The Israelites Promised Land is the grand metaphor for all of us in the creation story. Romans 8:19 says, “For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God.” ESV How many times have we read this verse and how many times have we glossed over it? The Passion translation puts it this way: “The entire universe is standing on tiptoe, earning to see the unveiling of God’s glorious sons and daughters.” Wow! Now, with this understanding, a shift takes place in our awareness of partnership with our Creator and His Creation. However, it isn’t easy. Ephesians 6:12 tells us we will have to fight for it. “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” The Passion translation puts it this way: “Your hand-to-hand combat is not with human beings, but with the highest principalities and authorities operating in rebellion under the heavenly realms. For they are a powerful class of demon-gods and evil spirits that hold this dark world in bondage.” Verse 13 goes on to say, “Because of this, you must wear all the armor that God provides so you’re protected as you confront the slanderer, for you are destined for all things and will rise victorious.” Think destiny. I hope this novel will encourage you in so many ways. Mostly, I hope it will help you think outside of the box. COLOR SPEAK, Season 5, Ep. 34: THIS GENERATION OF ENTERTAINERS! with Filmmaker/Creator of The Lost Healer Series, Wilson Hickman
Sep 12, 2025·—
—
I got a little choked up today, seeing God in this young man. With the loss of Charlie Kirk this week, I am grateful the Holy Spirit saw fit to arrange this interview now, on the heals of such disappointment in the world. But enter Wilson Hickman, an imaginative filmmaker called to affect the mountain of arts and entertainment, just when we need it most. And just when we long to see the next generation rise up and assume their callings, courageously and confidently, God highlights those who lead the way. He brings to our attention those who have also committed to truth telling. Those who aren't afraid of deception. Those who know you they are. Like Charlie. And, as we have heard a lot in the last couple of days, we are all Charlie now. Here is an great example. Oh, and for all of you aspiring filmmakers, or anyone who feels called to the field of entertainment, this one's for you too, *** Wilson Hickman is a follower of the Lord Jesus with a strong passion for storytelling. From a young age, Wilson began writing books in a variety of genres, and his passion for creativity led him to the visual medium of storytelling. When crafting a film, he often draws inspiration from his own life, vicariously learning and growing with the characters he creates. His latest project is an award-winning proof of concept episode for a Christian-themed fantasy TV series called The Lost Healer . Inspired by real-world spiritual warfare, the series is designed to transport viewers to an exciting new world while inspiring them to navigate the struggles of this one. When I look back over my show notes, I always find so many goodies for title ideas that I am hard pressed to find the right one. Today was especially difficult. Because today, my friends Diana and Patty each had their most powerful messages to date, in my opinion. I settled on one of Patty's journal entries that states, "Soon, nothing will be the same." Wow. And Diana's word from our God that says, "The mountain of the LORD will tower over all." Again. Wow. There were others too. Like this one: "Let go of exposure timing." "My David receives my download." And, "The Rescue of the Ages is not just a reprieve." I could go on and on, but instead I am going to marinate in all I heard today and encourage you here and now to tune in. I am also going to declare God's goodness in the land of the living." COLOR SPEAK, Season 5, Episode 20: Be the Prophet of Your Own Life with Ash West

"...Stand in the ways and see, And ask for the old paths, where the good way is, And walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls.'" Jeremiah 6:16 Looking to the past for our Creator's counsel enables us to find His wisdom painted in living color through the ages. AND observing His present while engaging with His Holy Spirit enables us to embrace His glorious new. God is always moving in BIG ways. He is always teaching us something new within the old. Unless we permit obstacles to lodge on the road He is laying out for us, where bright and shiny objects may lure us away from our intended path. The old and the comfortable may block us too. Our God is never stagnet. How can our relationship with Him be? Today, Ash and I talk through some of the ways we navigate the confusion and the mystery of what the Holy Spirit is doing that is new and fresh, while staying grounded in the old. There are SO many messages and opinions these days. So many prophetic voices. Amen! Though a collective consciousness is arising in His people, there is still a lot of conflicting information. How do we make sense of it all and stay on the same page with one another? It starts with an intimate relationship with Him. What happens in your alone moments with your Savior is what will renew your mind, far greater than any attraction designed to intercede. *** Ash West is a dream warrior and prophetic voice for the Kingdom of God! Recognizing the Holy Spirit is always communicating with us in myriad ways, and championing biblical support for evaluating our dreams as partnership, Ash is on a mission to encourage others around the globe to this awareness. My beautiful, hope-filled, prophetic friend, Carolyn, is here with me today to talk with me about life and the things that hold us back from our created purpose. We cover a LOT of topics today, so if one doesn't resonate with you, hold on for more! When discuss freedom, forgiveness comes up. Of course it does and yes, I know it isn't a fun word. But even the faithless understand how important this is. We must purge ourselves of all the poisons that hold us in bondag. Failing to forgive is at the top of the list. Here is what Carolyn suggests we say aloud: Thank you Jesus for dying in my place that I might be forgiven. By an act of my will I now chose to forgive those who have hurt me or sinned against me. I forgive ____________________ for __________________ (be specific). I give to each one of these the gift of unconditional foregiveness, They owe me nothing. I entrust them to you God. I bless each of them in your Son's name. Lord, I ask you to forgive me for my ungodly response to the offense and the pain. I have judged others with wrong attitudes and words, and in bitterness and anger. (Be specific) I ask you now to forgive me from my ungodly and sinful responses. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ (Speak out the ungodly ways you have responded to the pain people have caused you.) Forgive me for these and any other sinful, hidden things in my heart that have given the enemy legal rights to torment me. I chose to repent of these ungodly and sinful responses and practices. Thank you Jesus that I am forgiven and you are sttting me free. I ask you to come and move powerfully in my life to change me. Thank you Father for the cross and for forgiving me and all my sins. I chose now to forgive myself for _________________________________________________ (Be specific). I willl now longer hold these things over my life but free myself from them in Jesus' name. Please forgive me Lord for blaming you and judging you for what others have done to me. I need to speak out the words, "I release you Father for those things my heart has held against you." (Be specific) Thank you for loving me and promising to set me free. Carolyn Searcy is a best-selling author who lives in Hendersonville, Tennessee, with her husband, Steve, of 38 years. I feel you. The moment you consider the wisdom of watching something on television. Anything on television. Or any other method by which you feel like unwinding after a day. Our choices for entertainment are absolutely pitiful these days. There is little redemptive value in what we as a society are allowing into our hearts, minds, and souls. The violence, the sex, the outright celebration of demonic enterprise. It is disgusting. Even animated shows for kids are laced with this filth. And worse, it's intentional. This must change. Enter a couple of godly men who aim to produce faith films with messages of hope and redemption in a way the Church at large hasn't seen. What they produce is real and raw and human.
