Daniel Keene, a North Texas small-business owner of Boundaries Coffee, faced intense backlash after a viral X post (now deleted) where he filmed an Indian block party in his suburb and vented frustration over demographic changes, declaring, “We have to cancel the H-1Bs. I want my kids to grow up in America. Not India.”

The situation escalated at The Trails Church, where Keene was a member. Elders summoned him and his eight-months-pregnant wife for a multi-hour interrogation, initially over the "uncharitable" post but pivoting to demand repentance for his H-1B stance itself. They scrutinized three years of his X activity, flagged "concerning" posts, and warned of church discipline.
