Believers are already complete, holy, and righteous in Christ and need to align themselves with these truths rather than trying to achieve them. This true identity impacts various areas of life including marriage, work, and prayer. A key point is that guilt and shame act as "identity amnesia," causing believers to forget who they are in Christ.; coming out of hiding is therefore essential to defeating shame.
