Formed in Limerick in 1989, this influential Irish rock band blended alternative, indie, and pop rock styles to create a distinctive sound. The group's original lineup included lead vocalist Dolores O'Riordan and her brother Noel Hogan on guitar, along with Mike Hogan on bass and Fergal Lawler on drums. With Dolores O'Riordan's haunting vocals at the forefront, the band's eclectic sound incorporated elements of jangle pop, dream pop, folk rock, and post-punk.
