Formed in Sydney in 1977 as Flowers, this Australian rock band evolved from pub rock roots to new wave and synth-pop success, scoring Top 10 singles in Australia, Europe, and the US. Led by the versatile Iva Davies, who has consistently provided the core sound with a rotating cast of musicians, the band's name change to Icehouse in 1981 was inspired by Davies' own humble abode and the enigmatic building across the street. With a sound that seamlessly blends rock and electronic elements, Icehouse has made a lasting impact on the music scene.
