The Miami Dolphins 1978 sixth-round draft choice quickly became a key contributor, and by 1983, he was the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year. A key member of the Fins’ fabled Killer B’s defense, Betters is remembered as one of the greatest defenders in team history.
