It’s easy to see someone doing well in an area (or multiple areas) and assume they’re killing it in every other arena as well. The truth is, while we strive for the balance of doing all things excellently to the glory of God, we often found our capacities particularly limited during certain seasons and generally limited all the time (bc no one is good at everything). Whether we are unusually busy (where I find myself right now), postpartum, solo-parenting, or something else altogether, we find ourselves needing to focus on the main things while being forced to let other areas go for a time. When we are careful to prioritize the needful things and prepare our hearts with reasonable expectations, we can still thrive through seasons of limited capacity while recognizing everyone will find themselves in a similar boat at some point—and the Lord can still use us all!
