Like many of Jafar Panahi’s films, Palme d’Or winner It Was Just An Accident begins in a car. On the way home, a driver hits a dog, killing it and wrecking his engine. Seeking help, he stumbles into a warehouse where a worker believes he’s found the torturer who once ruined his life. Unsure if Eghbal is truly guilty, Vahid rallies other survivors to confront him, forcing the group to face a grave ethical dilemma.
