More than 100 city blocks were destroyed, more than 1,000 people were injured, and 107 were killed -- all in a matter of minutes. Due to the passage of time, it is possible that Joan Gay is now deceased. If Joan's still alive, she'd be 80 years old. One of the tornadoes thought to be an F5, carved a 125-mile path from Texas to Oklahoma. It was this tornado that completely destroyed tiny Glazier, Texas, where it killed 17 people, before slamming into Higgins, Texas, where it killed 51. At points along its path, its vortex was thought to be at least two miles wide!
