Those four letters R A S U represent Rahu, Ketu, Sun, Jupiter, etc.—the sequence of dashas, or planetary time periods, that shape your life. Every one of us is on a 120-year timeline of dashas, moving through the nine grahas for a set number of years. Ketu is 7 years, Venus 20, Sun 6, Moon 10, Mars 7, Rahu 18, Jupiter 16, Saturn 19, Mercury 17. Where you enter this cycle depends on the exact degree of your Moon at birth, so accurate birth time really matters. Even a few hours off could shift your starting point.
