Affected by Affliction, or Effective in Affliction?

Will life's afflictions shake your faith, or will God use them to strengthen your testimony? The Apostle Paul warned the young believers at Thessalonica that afflictions would come. And they did. Concerned for their spiritual condition, Paul sent Timothy to establish and comfort them concerning their faith. He feared that Satan, the tempter, might use their suffering to draw them away from the truth, making his labour among them vain. In this message from 1 Thessalonians 3:3-5, Pastor Ed Decker challenges believers to examine how they respond when trials, hardships, and spiritual opposition come. The question is not whether affliction will come, but what it will accomplish in your life. Will you be AFFECTED by affliction, allowing trouble to move you away from your faith? Or will you be EFFECTIVE in affliction, standing firm in God's Word and remaining faithful through the storm? Key Scripture: "That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto." — 1 Thessalonians 3:3 Join Pastor Ed Decker and Arnold Baptist Tabernacle for this timely message about steadfast faith, spiritual endurance, and remaining faithful when life gets difficult.
