Reality Is Scarier Than Fiction
This week’s episode comes with scares of all varieties. Scheana and Kiki Monique recap their weekend bouncing between LA’s haunted attractions, where Kiki discovered she is extremely easy prey, and Scheana’s loyalty to Brock and Kiki lasted exactly until security got involved. Things get more unsettling as they unpack the Cornell 7 case (or should we be calling it the Cornell 57?). The tragic death of a 13-year-old girl also sparks a conversation about Gen Alpha growing up with the world in their pockets 24/7, from the manosphere and social media to the fears of raising kids in this new reality, plus Summer’s recent stint refereeing her parents from the backseat. And while AI can be helpful (heck, it helped draft this description), it can also cause quite a scare. Scheana details an AI-generated car crash that panicked her family group chat, while a fake image of a deadly viper sent Southern California on an actual snake hunt. So why spend a weekend willingly asking to be terrified when there’s already so much to fear? Maybe because in a haunted maze, the fear is manufactured, the monsters aren’t real and, most importantly for Kiki, there’s an exit.
