Emerging from the vibrant London punk rock scene in the 1970s, this iconic English rock singer first made waves as the charismatic frontman of Generation X. He then catapulted to international stardom with a highly successful solo career, riding the wave of the MTV-driven "Second British Invasion" into American hearts. With his unique blend of punk energy and melodic sensibilities, he became a household name.
