Aaron Sorkin and Mikey Madison on The Social Reckoning + NYFF standouts
Two Academy Award winners, Aaron Sorkin and Mikey Madison, discuss The Social Reckoning, Sorkin's return to the world he helped create with The Social Network. The writer-director reflects on revisiting the rise of social media in a dramatically different political and cultural moment, while Madison talks about stepping into one of the film's central roles. Film critic and MIFF programmer Kate Jinx joins us fresh from the New York Film Festival to discuss two of the event's stand-out films, both heading to Australian screens soon: You Can See Everything and The History of Concrete. Plus, in anticipation of The History of Concrete, we revisit part of our conversation with filmmaker John Wilson about his hugely popular TV series How To with John Wilson (Listen to the whole thing here.) We want to know what you think of The Screen Show. Help us understand what's working, what's not, and how we can make our program even more useful, compelling and unmissable.
