When it comes to strength training, there are many training variables: sets, reps, exercise selection and rep tempo among other things.
At RISE academy https://bit.ly/2FyXWJF, we use them all to our advantage.
The latter is quite often misunderstood, and overlooked. So today, I want to share with you how you can use rep tempo to the benefit of your current training.
What is a rep tempo
A rep tempo can be defined as the rate or pace at which an exercise is performed. It usually a 3 or 4 digits code you will find next to your exercise in a program.
It could look like this: 4-1-3-0. Each number denotes the amount of time in seconds to perform a specific portion of the exercise.
